1. Оргмомент
Teacher: Good afternoon boys and girls! Good afternoon guests! I am glad to see you. Let’s begin our lesson.
2. Введение в коммуникацию
Teacher: In our time people can visit many interesting countries and places. It is very important to speak with people. We can travel around the town and ask the way and see many interesting things there. You need to speak English very well. It helps you to travel. Today we can try to do it.
3. Активизация лексического материала
Teacher: Look at the map. This is a town. There are many places in it. (карта № 1) Can you write the correct name of each place?
Open your exercise-books and write the name of each place. One of you go to the blackboard and show us the place.
Now check your answers. (карта № 2)

Teacher: Two girls Kate and Ann are on holidays. They want to go shopping. This is their shopping list. Where do you think they want to go?
Now listen. Are you right?
Ann: Ok. Now where do we have to go?
Kate: Well. We can get the milk and sugar in a supermarket. And the bread.
Ann: Let’s get the bread in a baker’s. It’s better.
Kate: Ok. We need a newsagent’s and a post office for the stamps.
Ann: What about the toothpaste?
Kate: In a chemist’s or in a supermarket. Let’s go to a supermarket first. Let’s ask someone.
Ann: Exсuse me, where can we find a supermarket?
Woman: A supermarket? Well, I think the nearest one is in Green Street, next to the bank.
Ann: Thanks.
Kate: This is Green Street, but I can’t see a supermarket.
Ann: Let’s ask this man.
Kate: Exсuse me, do you know where the supermarket is?
Man: Sorry, I don’t know this town.
Kate: Oh, thanks. Let’s ask this man.
Ann: Exсuse me. We’re lost. Could you tell us where there is a supermarket?
Man: Yes, there’s one in front of you.
Ann: Oh, yes! Thank you.

Teacher: And now make up your own dialogues; ask where each place is. Don’t forget to be polite like English people are. Use expressions from the list and look at the map. (Работа в парах, учитель контролирует.)
