Nature: Animals and Plants. Comparative and Superlative Adjectives
(урок английского языка в 6-м классе)
Цели: провести контроль знаний сравнительной и превосходной степеней прилагательных; тренировать учащихся в использовании прилагательных в степенях сравнения в устной и письменной речи; развивать навыки аудирования; развивать интерес к изучению английского языка; воспитывать любовь к природе.
Оформление: рисунки с изображением цветов, животных, карточки со словами и предложениями.

a) Find Russian equivalents to the adjectives (English words are given in a column on the blackboard, cards with Russian words are mixed);
b) Name the animals in the pictures and make up a sentence with an adjective describing the animal or plant. For example: This is a lion. The lion is strong. (The pictures are on the blackboard);
c) Give antonyms for the adjectives. (The teacher pronounces the word – the students give the antonyms);
d) Give comparatives and superlatives to the adjectives. (The teacher names words and the students name the forms of the adjectives.) For example: clean – cleaner – the cleanest; good – better – the best;
e) Correct the word order. (On the poster there are sentences with a wrong word order. For example: Mathematics is difficult more than Literature.)

Teacher: Do you like animals? What is your favourite animal? What animals can you see in my pictures?
The teacher shows pictures of a little lion, a lioness and an owl.
Teacher: Now listen to a short dialogue. After that you will act the dialogue out.

Little Lion: Mum, who am I?
Lioness: You are the best, the most beautiful, the fastest and the strongest of all the animals. (Then the Little Lion sees an Owl.)
Owl: Hello, who are you?
Little Lion: Hello! I’m the best, the most beautiful, the fastest and the strongest of all the animals.
Owl: Never say that you are the fastest, the strongest, the best and the most beautiful of all the animals. There are animals which are better, faster, stronger and more beautiful than you are.
Little Lion: Thank you, Mr. Owl! And you are the cleverest of all.
5. Этап станционного обучения
Teacher: Now let’s travel to 8 stations. At the stations you will do some tasks and then we’ll check up your work together.
Учитель делит учащихся на пары методом случайного выбора, раздав им вырезанные из цветной бумаги геометрические фигуры. Ученики получают маршрутные листы, подписывают их, затем они работают по станциям.
По истечении времени (15 минут) пары учеников обмениваются своими заполненными маршрутными листами. Учитель раздаёт листы с ключами к упражнениям. Дети сверяют ответы в маршрутных листах с ключами и выставляют баллы (1 балл за каждый правильный ответ), подсчитывают сумму баллов. На доске учитель вывешивает шкалу перевода баллов в оценку. Учащиеся проводят взаимопроверку и оценивают работу своих товарищей, оценки выставляются учителем в журнал.
6. Домашнее задание: описать по картинкам трёх животных, давая их качественные характеристики в виде степеней сравнения прилагательных.
