Страноведческая игра

Цель игры: повышение у учащихся мотивации к обучению.

Задачи игры: формирование коммуникативной компетенции, расширение лексического запаса, кругозора обучающихся, развитие артистических способностей, развитие межпредметных связей.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, компьютер, магнитофон и хорошее настроение.

Этапы проведения игры

Этап 1. Формирование команд

Формирование команд происходит из учащихся разных классов (с 5-го по 10-й), заинтересованных в изучении английского языка. Для этой игры необходимо сформировать 4 равноценные команды по 5–6 человек.

Этап 2. Подготовительный

Каждая команда получает задание подготовить небольшую компьютерную презентацию об одной из англоговорящих стран: Великобритании, Канаде, Австралии, США. Желательно, чтобы презентации были подготовлены на английском языке, что способствует развитию навыков говорения обучающихся.

Этап 3. Игровой

В начале игры команды как обычно представляют себя: название, девиз, капитан, несколько слов о команде (на английском языке).

Далее каждая команда представляет свою страну.

После этого каждой команде задаётся по 10 вопросов, касающихся изученной страны. На каждый вопрос предлагается на выбор три ответа. Распределение очков за правильные ответы происходит по предварительной договорённости жюри. Например, за правильный ответ команде – 10 очков. Если команда не может ответить на вопрос и отвечает команда противника, то ей присуждается 5 очков и т.д. Если команда даст обширное объяснение к своему ответу – дополнительно ещё 5 очков.

Этап 4. Капитанский конкурс

Проходит в письменном виде.

Этап 5. Вкусный и весёлый

Каждая из команд готовит национальное блюдо и исполняет народную песенку. Для команд можно подготовить 5–10 кулинарных вопросов (или вопросов по этикету)

Этап 6. Награждение

Обычно в нашей школе при проведении подобных игр награждаются все участники, независимо от того, выиграла команда или нет. Особо отличившихся участников или капитанов команд можно наградить ещё и грамотами в разных номинациях (самый эрудированный игрок, самый весёлый, самый голосистый игрок и т.д.)
