"I AM" poem

В рамках работы языкового лагеря и языковой школы в городе Губкине летом 2006 года и весной 2007 года, учебно-тренировочных сборов по английскому языку в городе Белгороде летом 2008 года учащимся были предложены образцы составления биографических стихотворений. Юные любители английского языка с огромным удовольствием занимались поэтическим творчеством. Для кого-то это была просто практика английского языка, для кого-то – возможность рассказать другим что-то особенное о себе.

I Am – model

First Stanza
I am (two special characteristics you have)
I wonder (something you are actually curious about)
I hear (an imaginary sound) I see (an imaginary sight)
I want (an actual desire)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

Second Stanza
I pretend (something you actually pretend to do)
I feel (a feeling about something imaginary)
I touch (an imaginary touch)
I worry (something that really bothers you)
I cry (something that makes you very sad)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

Third Stanza
I understand (something you know is true)
I say (something you believe in)
I dream (something you actually dream about)
I try (something you really make an effort about)
I hope (something you actually hope for)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

I see beautiful sunset.
I want to know the secret of happiness.

I pretend that the world is mine.
I feel like everything will be the way which I want.

I worry that I can be burnt.
I cry when someone close is not here with me.

I understand that there are many difficulties in my life.
I say, I’ll overcome everything.
I dream to travel around the world.
I try to be friendly to everybody.
I hope my dreams will come true.
