Цели:
• Речевая компетенция: совершенствование коммуникативных навыков по теме посредством интеграции учебной и внеучебной деятельности, межпредметных связей (музыка, литература, театр), интерпретации художественного произведения;
• Языковая компетенция: овладение языковыми средствами по теме (опорный конспект), совершенствование видовременных форм глагола, типов вопросов, залогов, косвенной речи, формул общения;
• Социокультурная компетенция: приобщение учащихся к культуре, традициям и реалиям стран, обеспечение аутентичности общения на страноведческом материале, отвечающем интересам, опыту, психологическим особенностям старшеклассников. Компенсаторная компетенция: развитие умений выходить из положения в условиях дефицита языковых средств;
• Учебно-познавательная: ознакомление учащихся с возможностью самостоятельного изучения английского языка и культуры средствами театра и чтения аутентичной литературы.
Развитие и воспитание: развитие мышления, памяти, творческих способностей учащихся, мотивации к изучению иностранного языка на основе реального контекста (ролевой игры), исходя из интересов детей, в условиях педагогики сотрудничества, с позиции личностно-ориентированного общения. Формирование потребности пользоваться иностранным языком как средством общения и самореализации, познания и социальной адаптации. Воспитание толерантного отношения к произведениям иной культуры. Формирование ценностных ориентаций с позиции диалога культур.
Педагогическая технология: коллективной учебной деятельности в группах.
Оборудование: магнитофон, видео, музыкальные инструменты, афоризмы, опорные конспекты, раздаточный материал.
Элементы ролевой игры: театральное кафе “Желтая роза”.
Гости приходят по пригласительным.
На стенах и доске афиша, анонс, афоризмы об искусстве.

Ход урока

1. Подготовка учащихся к речевой деятельности на языке.
Приветствие. Выяснение готовности к деятельности. Предъявление опорных конспектов, проблемной ситуации, учебных задач урока.

Teacher: Good day everybody! I’m very glad to see you at our Theatre Goers’ Club or art connoisseurs’. In reality, “life is short, art is long”. In the long run, “All the world is a stage and all the men and women are merely players”. Today we’ll try to discuss various problems which are connected with the most pleasant and gracious kind of art. We’ll have a talk about a mysterious place, where “a crowd changes into people”.
Which place do I mean? Prove, please, that you are real theatrical connoisseurs at our session. After our session you should write a review. For this aim you may use the well-known cue cards, text interpretation, maxims, formulae of communication with the help of our grammar material and a new plan for writing a review. Look at the cue card. We’d like you to discuss our amateur theatricals “The Man with the Scar” after S. Maugham. “Art is a manifestation of emotion, and emotion speaks a language that all may understand.” (S. Maugham)

2. Драматизация – полилог. Постановка мюзикла по рассказу С.Моэма “Человек со шрамом”.

The Man With the Scar

Стилизация под бар. Кабинет украшен золотыми розами. На столах выпечка, сладости, бутылки с надписью “Ginger Ale”. Картонные декорации – жизненная антитеза: олицетворение добра и зла, основные ипостаси, этапы жизни главного героя. Одна часть – кусочек красивой жизни, уголок кафе. Здесь же стоит сервированный столик, два стула. Другая часть декораций – изображение тюремной стены с решеткой. На входной двери – декорация тюремных ворот. Освещено кафе (можно поставить свечу на стол). Звучит музыка. Официантка осматривает зал, поправляет салфетки, зажигает свечу. Колокольчик. Заходит Моэм.

Моэм: Good morning! A bottle of wine, please!
Официантка: Yes, sir. Here you are. (Приносит поднос, ставит на стол.)
Моэм: Thanks.

Заходит местный житель, завсегдатай кафе.

Саньо: Morning. Is it free?
Моэм: Sure.
Саньо: Thanks. I’d like to get acquainted with you. Where are you from?
Моэм: I’m Somerset Maugham. I’m from England. And you?
Саньо: My name is Sanyo. I’m from Spain.
Моэм: Have a drink!
Саньо: With pleasure! Oh, so nice! Our Spanish girls!

В кафе выступают испанские девушки, в ярких нарядах, с гитарой, маракасами, бенгальскими огнями, поют песню на испанском языке и танцуют. В зале всеобщее веселье.

Моэм: Fantastic! So bright, so passionate!

В кафе заходит лотерейщик с билетами.

Лотерейщик: Lottery tickets! Lottery tickets! All of them are lucky!
Саньо: How is life, General?
Лотерейщик: Not so bad. Business is not too good, but it might be worse.
Саньо: What will you have, General?
Лотерейщик: (отпивает из бутылки) A brandy.
Моэм: (у Саньо) Who is your friend? That’s a terrific scar on his face... Oh, listen to it!

На фоне музыки звучат стихи Бернса “Red Rose”. Освещается вторая декорация с тюремным двором.

Саньо: A terrific scar? It doesn’t add to his beauty, does it?
He’s an exile from Nicaragua. He is a ruffian of course and a bandit, but not a bad fellow. He took part in a rebellion and was the general of the rebellious troops. They captured him together with his staff and he was sentenced to be shot at dawn. He spent the night in jail and he and the others passed the time, playing poker. (Три бунтаря играют в карты.)
Бунтарь 1: The day has broken.
Бунтарь 2: It might be our last day.
Генерал: As for me, I have never had such bad luck in my life. I lost. And lost all the time, (бросил карты).

Входят три солдата и офицер.

Офицер: Fetch the men for the execution!

Солдаты наставили ружья. Повстанцы встали.

Генерал 1: What the devil you are keeping me waiting for?
Солдат 1: The general, now commanding the troops, wishes to attend the execution and we are awaiting his arrival.
Генерал 1: Then I have time to smoke another cigarette.

Генерал 1 достает сигарету.
Прибывает генерал 2. Все на фронт.

Офицер: Our general!
Генерал 2: The condemned men! Do you wish anything before the execution?
Повстанцы: No. (качают головами)
Генерал 1: Yes, I should like to say goodbye to my wife.
Генерал 2: Good! I have no objection to that. Where is she?
Генерал 1: She is waiting at the prison door.
Генерал 2: Then it will not cause a delay of more than 5 minutes.
Генерал 1: Yes, sir. (с конвойным идёт к дверям тюрьмы)
Офицер: Fire!

Повстанцев убивают.

Генерал 2: Well done!

Под музыку “Аве, Мария” медленно входит женщина в чёрном платье с красной розой в руке. Плачет: “Oh, my love!”

Генерал 2: Caramba!

Женщина обнимает генерала 1: “Soul of my heart! Soul of my heart!” Внезапно генерал 1 достает нож и убивает женщину. Все в недоумении смотрят на генерала 1. Молчание. Офицер подбегает к женщине: “She is dead.” Кладет розу рядом с ней.
Генерал 1 перекрестился.

Генерал 2: Why did you do it?
Генерал 1: I loved her.

Немая сцена.

Генерал 2: Well, it was a noble gesture. I can’t execute this man. Take my car and drive him to the frontier. I honour you senior as one brave man must honour another.

Свет выключен. Звучит музыка. Вновь освещается кафе.

Генерал 1-лотерейщик: Lotteries! Lotteries! Happy lotteries!
Моэм: My friend! How did you get the scar?
Генерал 1-лотерейщик: Oh, that was due to a bottle that burst when I was opening it. A bottle of ginger ale.
Моэм: I never liked it.

Звучит музыка.

Teacher: I agree that a spiritual death is more awful than a physical one. It arouses a feeling of protest against the cruel world. At the same time it arouses noble feelings. In other words, it’s a psychological masterpiece, it gives food for thought. “Man’s fate lies in his own heart” – Galsworthy.

3. Заключительный этап.
Teacher: Now I see that you are real art connoisseurs and genius actors. You have proved it vividly, with a great deal of emotion, passion and conviction. Your marks are excellent. I like the way you’ve worked today. I think our actors have been at their best. Thank you for your work. Help yourselves, please!

Звучит музыка. Чаепитие.
