Данную викторину можно провести как внеклассное мероприятие по предмету или как обобщающий урок – повторение страноведческого материала, изученного за курс УМК Т.Б. Клементьевой и Д. Шэннон Happy English 2, 7–9-й классы и рабочей тетради к УМК К.И. Кауфман. М.Ю. Кауфман в конце 9-го класса.
Цели игры:
1) повторить и обобщить страноведческие знания о стране изучаемого языка, полученные за 7–9-й класс;
2) расширить кругозор учащихся, развить интерес к предмету и интеллектуальные способности учащихся;
3) воспитать уважительное отношение к культуре англоязычных стран.
Teacher: Welcome to the game “Who wants to be a Millionaire?” Dear boys and girls! Today we are going to play this game and you only need a sheet of paper and a pen, and of course your brain, mind and your wish to play and win. Today we are going to talk about America and famous Americans. You should be very careful, listen to the questions and answer them only English.
The rules of the game are:
You have 15 questions or levels; if you answer a question incorrectly, then you lose all the money you have won, except that the 1000 and 32000 prizes are guaranteed.And you have 3 prompts: the call to the friend, the help of the audience, and the help of the computer. Here are the points:
