Five-Minute Tests

What do you do when you’re stuck in a rush hour jam? Write 6–8 sentences. Use these ideas.
1. listen to the radio;
2. play with a Rubic’s cube;
3. can’t do anything constructive;
4. look through magazines;
5. read a book;
6. do a crossword;
7. pretend you are somewhere else;
8. use your mobile phone all the time to chat to friends.

I’m lucky: my special school is very near my house. I can walk there. But when we decide to go somewhere at the weekend we have to be ready to crawl along in a traffic jam. That’s an awful lot of spare time. First of all I try not to be in a bad mood. I pretend that I am somewhere else. I try to concentrate and do something constructive. Sometimes I read a book, sometimes I listen to music. But if I’m late I get really angry.
