Владение иностранным языком сегодня становится неотъемлемым качеством культурного, образованного человека, что повышает интерес к овладению иностранным языком: возникают потребности обменяться информацией, вступить в общение на иностранном языке, узнать новое. Поэтому одной из наиболее актуальных и одновременно сложных проблем современной методики является развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции учащихся. Опыт преподавания свидетельствует, что в современной общеобразовательной школе есть реальные возможности решить эту задачу при условии использования целенаправленной и эффективной технологии обучения.
Овладение коммуникативной компетенцией предполагает освоение четырех видов речевой деятельности – аудирования, говорения, чтения и письма в их тесной взаимосвязи. Правильно подобранные методические приемы помогают не просто достигнуть конечной цели формирования и развития речевых навыков и умений, но и сделать процесс обучения более доступным, интересным и развивающим.
Цель предлагаемых вниманию рекомендаций – ознакомить с диктантом на иностранном языке как одним из приемов практической реализации коммуникативного подхода к развитию умений и навыков иноязычного общения. Разумная насыщенность текста диктанта грамматическими формами и конструкциями, лексикой, необходимой для организации общения в пределах данной темы или ситуации, органически вписывает диктант как методический прием в общую ткань урока. Диктант эффективен как на этапе языковой тренировки, так и в речевой практике. Кроме того, правильное использование диктантов моделирует на уроке такие ситуации, которые предполагают личностно-ориентированную направленность заданий и коллективное взаимодействие обучаемых в процессе учебной деятельности.

3. Interview your classmate about his/her favourite subjects.

4. Tell the class about your and your friend’s favourite school subjects.

BLOCK III

1. Listen to the clothing vocabulary. Write them down dividing them into three groups:

Boots, raincoats, trousers, pullovers, shirts, pyjamas, pants, gloves, sweaters, shoes, tights, dresses, ties.

2. Compare your lists of words with your friend’s.

3. Tell the class what clothes you like to wear, what things you have on today, and what things you would like to wear.

BLOCK IV

1. Listen to the words describing people’s characters.

Write them down in three columns: positive, negative and other.

NIGHT STORY

I shouted at it, and it ran away through the open kitchen window.
