Погода. Времена года

урок для 5–6-х классов

Задачи: закрепление лексико-грамматического материала. Развитие навыков аудирования.

Оборудование: картина, магнитофон.

ХОД УРОКА

Teacher: How are you? And you? Are you all right?
I’m not well today. I think it’s because of the weather. Do you like today’s weather? Why? And tell me please, how many seasons do you know? What is your favourite season? Why? Who else likes...?
Let’s solve some riddles about seasons.

Учащиеся, подготовившие дома загадки, выходят и загадывают их своим одноклассникам.

Teacher: I want you to repeat some poems about seasons.

В процессе изучения темы заучивается много стихотворений.

Например:

Spring is green,
Summer is bright,
Autumn is yellow,
Winter is white.

In spring the trees are green,
In autumn they are red and golden,
In summer the sun is bright,
In winter the snow is white.

“In winter I ski and skate”,
Says little Jim.
“And what do you do in spring?” –
“In spring we play and sing”.

The snow is thick,
The snow is white,
It must have fallen
In the night.

A summer day
Has rain or sun,
But either way
I find it fun.

Teacher: Let’s listen to the tape-recorder. Write down the seasons the author will tell you about.

Звучат короткие тексты с описанием четырех времен года.

Teacher: Look here. Neznaika listened to the story, too. He says: “There are many flowers in winter”. Is he right?
The sky is blue in spring. Is it so?
It’s hot in winter? Is it true?
The days are long and the nights are short in summer. Do you agree with him?
The trees are yellow and red in autumn. Is he right?
March, April and May are the winter months. Is it true or false?
It snows in summer. Is he wrong?
Look at the blackboard. You can see the names of some animals. Tell me what seasons they like and why: a polar bear, a monkey, a parrot, a giraffe, a frog, a seal.
I see that you are tired. Let’s rest a little. Some exercises are for you. Listen and do.
You are walking along the street to school. You have a heavy bag in your left hand. The day is sunny, but frosty. Your nose and cheeks are cold. Suddenly you see a boy, playing snowballs. You put down your bag, pick up some snow, make some snowballs and throw them at the boy – 1, 2, 3. It’s funny. Oh, but what about school? You take your bag and quickly run to school. You open the door, come in, wave to your friends “hello!” Oh, you are not late.

Дети имитируют действия.

Teacher: Now I’d like you to look at this beautiful picture. Someone will ask questions, all the others have to answer them.

Это работа для сильного ученика. Можно вызвать двух учеников, чтобы вопросы задавались по очереди и было время для обдумывания очередного вопроса.

Teacher: We know that English people like to speak about the weather. What English proverb about the weather do you know? (When two Englishmen are meeting together, they speak about the weather.) I think that Englishmen would like to visit Russia. But what season is the best time to see all the beauty of our country and to have a good time. Think about it at home and make projects: “Come to Russia in autumn (spring, summer, winter)”.
Now we’ll have a competition. Look at the blackboard. You see two columns of words. One column is nouns, the second column is adjectives. Make up as many word combinations as you can.
