The VIPs in My Life

The VIPs in my life are my parents. They are doctors. They treat people and help them every day. They are fabulous. We are friends. We never have arguments about my looks and my friends. They listen to me when I talk and try to understand me. Sometimes my dad doesn’t allow me to go out late or my mum makes me wear a warm scarf. I don’t want to do it, but I do. Why should we quarrel about such things?

4. My parents and I never have arguments about my looks and my friends.

I get on well with my classmates and teachers. The problem is Sophia. If I put on a new blouse or a skirt she says that I look awful. If I get a good mark she says that teachers like me. If my answer is wrong she laughs at me. She tells other girls to tease me. Sophia wants to annoy me. What should I do?

– No, I don’t. She always takes my things with- out asking.

– Have you got any problems with your younger brother?
– My mother makes me play what he wants to play. Everyone spoils him. He thinks that he is special. And I think that he is nasty.

– Do you argue with your sister?
– No, I don’t. She is a good sister. When I‘ve got problems, she is always there. We can chat about everything. We help each other.

– Are you and your parents friends?
– Yes, we are. We never quarrel about my looks and my friends. We get on well. They listen to me when I talk.
– Do they insist you think the way they do?
– No, they don’t. They’re OK.

– Are you friends with your parents?
– No, we are not.
– Why?
– They want me think the way they do. We often have arguments about my clothes.

– Do you get on well with your classmates?
– Clare and Katy are my friends. They never tease me. And other boys and girls sometimes laugh at me when my answer is wrong. What should I do?

– Why do your classmates laugh at you?
– I’m scared to answer and make mistakes.
– And what about boys and girls who tease you?
– They are not perfect. But they are not scared to answer.

– Do you have any problems with your classmates?
– No, I get on well with my classmates. We argue with one another but never quarrel.

– Why don’t you get on well with the other girls?
– They don’t want to listen to our opinion.
